Actor McGregor confirmed that the filming of the series had begun by May 4 2021 on Star Wars Day and was completed by September 19, 2021. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the original star wars film in 1977 Obi-Wan Kenobi tv series is set to premiere on Disney Plus on May 25, 2022, and the tv series will consist of six episodes.
